Delta Denta's new Maximum Plan Allowance policy is generating a lot of concern and questions. The policy prohibits participating dentists from billing patients for any amount in excess of the Maximum PLan Allowance established by Delta Dental for certain procedures. Legislation that would enable the new Community Dental Health Coordinator position to practice in Michigan has been referred to the Senate Committee on Family and Children’s Services. The committee is chaired by Sen. Mark Jansen (R-Grand Rapids). The bill was introduced in June by Sen. Jerry VanWoerkom (R-Norton Shores).
