The MDA is expanding its new bone marrow drive campaign by encouraging components to participate. It's easy and the MDA's matching public relations funds can be used for local activities. The campaign took place during the month of November. Dental offices who signed up to participate in November may continue to use and submit the swab kits you already have to DKMS labs throughout December 2013.
In partnership with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Michigan, Delta Dental, and DKMS — the international bone marrow registry who will supply the swab kits — the goal is to surpass last year's participation level and register more than 2,500 new potential donors. Last year’s campaign resulted in five confirmed matches — an amazing statistic!
