Infant Oral Health Summit

The Infant Oral Health Summit will present a day-long intensive program tailored to all members of the medical and dental communities and will provide vital information required to effectively implement preventive infant oral health programs in your office and throughout your community.
The morning session will provide an intensive review of cariology, preventive modalities (including fluoride varnish) and an introduction to the Points of Light program. Directed toward improving the oral health of the children of Michigan, Points of Light is a collaborative program that brings together the resources of the dental, medical and public health sectors.
The afternoon session consists of three presentations on infant oral health from the physician’s perspective, the dental hygienist’s perspective and the dentist’s perspective. These presentations will discuss strategies for improving infant oral health and easily implementing the Points of Light program at the practice and community levels. The day will conclude with an “Ask the Experts” panel discussion.
