Your First Choice for Continuing Education

The Michigan Dental Association is proud to be your first choice for continuing education. You can easily plan your MDA CE courses months in advance using the complete course listings foundon these pages. You'll also find important information about mandatory continuing education requirements and relicensure.

Why should the Michigan Dental Association be your first choice for continuing education? MDA courses provide added value such as:

  • continental breakfasts, lunch and refreshments;
  • handout materials;
  • approved provider status through ADA CERP (the Michigan Board of Dentistry recognizes ADA CERP credits for license renewal);
  • a CE record-keeping folder;
  • automatic tracking of your MDA CE credits for future reference;
  • courses chosen by dentists for dentists and dental professionals;
  • careful screening by the MDA’s Committee on Continuing Education for accuracy, content and presentation prior to booking;
  • *MDA staff and dentist volunteers on site to answer questions, and provide additional information.

The Michigan Dental Association is a nationally approved continuing education provider in the ADA Continuing Education Recognition Program (CERP).

The MDA is designated as a nationally recognized provider of CE credits by the American Dental Association CERP. The current term of approval extends from November 2008 through Dec. 31, 2011. The MDA is also designated as a nationally approved sponsor by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing education programs of this program provider are accepted by the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) for Fellowship/Mastership credit. The current term of acceptance extends from Jan. 1, 2009 through Dec. 31, 2011. Provider ID# 219252. The MDA is currently in the process of renewing both recognitions through the ADA and the AGD. The new approvaed period would be January 2012 through Dec. 31, 2015.
