MDA Scientific Sessions

Make the Michigan Dental Association your first choice for quality, convenient and affordable continuing education.

The MDA is holding three scientific sessions throughout the coming year: Summer Scientific Session, Winter Scientific Session and Spring Scientific Session. Each event combines weekend fun with great continuing education courses for dentists and staff alike.

Spring Scientific Session

With the burgeoning market of dental ceramics, clinicians must be astute as to their value for clinical use. Laboratory-based CAD-CAM dentistry can offer so much for our practice. The value of these ceramic products lies in their inherent beauty, accuracy, and long term durability.

Upon completion of this course you’ll be able to:

  • evaluate and institute proper ceramic systems for clinical use;
  • successfully undertake the key steps for impression and shade selection; and
  • understand what type of luting system is critical for crown placement.

Rooms are subject to a resort fee of $9.99 per room per night and an additional person charge of $40 per person per night for additional persons beyond the base occupancy. Base occupancy of Family Suites, Wolf Dens and Kid Kamps is four persons. Base occupancy of Kid Cabins is five persons. Base occupancy of Loft Suites and Majestic Bear Suites is six persons. Room rates are only applicable for those registered for the MDA Scientific Session.

Each individual guest can make his or her own reservations by calling the toll-free Central Reservation Department at 1-866-962-9653 by Feb. 3, 2016. Be sure to identify yourself with the Michigan Dental Association with reservation #1603MDA. A deposit equal to the first night’s lodging is required with each reservation. Each individual has until 72 hours prior to arrival date to cancel the individual room, with a $40 cancellation fee per room. Reservations must be made by Feb. 3, 2016 to receive the MDA rate.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

A 72-hour notice of cancellation is required for all CE programs. Refunds will be granted upon written request, less a $25 administration fee. An email is an acceptable notification..
