The Holland Free Health Clinic, the Junior League of Lansing, and the Mid-Michigan District Health Department in Stanton have all received $5,000 grants from the Michigan Dental Association Foundation.
The three organizations are the first recipients of the Foundation’s Dr. Matthew E. Uday Access to Care/ Oral Health Initiative grants. This access to care grant was established in memory of Uday, who was a member of the Foundation board who passed away in December 2009.
The recipient organizations will use the grant money to provide access to care and oral health education to the underserved. The Michigan Dental Asscoation Foundation has awarded 15 grants in the last six years totaling $75,000. |
