The Michigan Dental Association Foundation is pleased to announce grant applications are now available. Grants are available for both oral health education projects and access to care projects located in the state of Michigan. The deadline for submitting grant requests is June 1.
Proposals must be submitted either by accredited educational institutions or by non profit organizations with a 501(c) 3 status. Applicants must be located within the state of Michigan, as must the proposed activity. The applicant must provide a formal request detailing their needs and program goals as well as report on their results midway through the project and at the completion of the project. Dr. Matthew Uday, a former director of the Michigan Dental Association Foundation and chair of its Scholarship Committee, was posthumously honored with the Michigan Dental Association’s New Dentist Leadership Award during the MDA Annual Session in Novi.
Dr. Ronald Paler, president of the Michigan Dental Association Foundation for the past eight years, was recently honored with the John G. Nolen Meritorious Award during the Michigan Dental AssociationÆs Annual Session in Novi.
The Michigan Dental Association Foundation welcomed the various 2009-10 scholarship recipients to the MDA House of Delegates, who were then honored at a special reception during the 2010 Michigan Dental Association Annual Session in Novi, April 15.
