The eighth-annual Michigan Dental Association Foundation golf outing held May 8, 2009 at Tullymoore Golf Club in Stanwood, saw 80 golfers turn out for a day of golf, friendship and fun.
In total, the event raised $8,000 that will help the Foundation’s efforts in providing scholarships to students in dental health related careers, oral health education programs and access to care programs for the underserved during the coming year.
The first place honors at this year’s golf outing went to the foursome of Jonathan Enquist, Tom Small, Kevin Seal and Jim Barrett. The second-place foursome was made up of Bob Mac Tavish, Mike Tawney, Tom Winguist and Scott Winguist.
In the contests, the Longest Drive” winners were Dr. Joanne Dawley and Dr. Steve Dater, with the “Closest to the Pin” winners being Dr. Clayton Shunk and Craig Start.
