The 10th Annual Michigan Dental Association Foundation golf outing was held Friday, May 13, at Eagle Eye Golf Club in Bath. Eighty-three golfers supported the Foundation by participating in the event and were rewarded with a day of fantastic golf, friendship, food and fun. Click here to view photos from the event.
The first place honors at this year's golf outing went to the foursome of Chuck Hagen, Greg Grady, Paul Rashid and Dana Kong. The second-place foursome was made up of Dave Christiansen, Tom Phares, Larry Marcotte and Arnie Baker.
In the individual contests, the "Longest Drive" winner was Doug Wichstrom, with Chris Smith winning the "Closest to the Pin" contest on both holes two and 12.
The event raised $9,000 which will support the Foundation’s efforts in providing scholarships to students in dental health related careers, oral health education programs and access to care programs for the underserved.
The Foundation would like to thank the many sponsors, without whom the outing would not be a success. Sponsors of the 2010 golf outing included the following:
