Veneers are thin pre-shaped shells that cover damaged top or bottom front teeth, fix gaps and change the shape and size of your mouth. They are made of either porcelain or tooth-colored composite resin material. Porcelain veneers can last for over 10 years with regular care and maintenance. They look very natural and are often an irreversible process because a small amount of enamel is usually removed to make room for the thickness of the shell. Once the veneer is applied, the teeth must be periodically reveneered or crowned if a problem occurs or if decay develops near the veneer.

Michigan dentists participate in a variety of state and community programs that offer low-cost or free dental services to individuals in need. These programs offer help to seniors, low-income individuals, patients on Medicaid, disabled, handicapped or institutionalized individuals, children, and others.
