The Michigan Dental Association and American Dental Association are once again teaming up to sponsor the eighth annual "Give Kids a Smile!" day on Feb. 5, 2010. This event takes place during National Children's Dental Health Month and provides oral health care and education to large numbers of low income and disadvantage children. It also serves to inform policy makers of the ongoing challenges that low-income and disabled children face in accessing dental care.

The MDA and ADA partner with other organizations to provide a full-array of resources to groups organizing "Give Kids a Smile" and other National Children's Dental Health Month activities. Local United Ways and Boys & Girls Clubs also work with local dental societies to identify children who qualify for assistance.
