Director of Marketing and Communications
Statewide association seeks a dynamic individual to join our not-for-profit organization as the Director of Marketing and Communications. As part of the executive management team, this key position will work collaboratively with the Executive Director and other team members to ensure a consistent approach to marketing and communications and the successful achievement of strategic goals. This position will be responsible for the development and implementation of marketing, market research, communications and media relations initiatives.
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or a related field with a minimum of five years of experience at a manager or director level. A Master’s Degree is preferred. Must demonstrate expertise in developing and implementing successful marketing plans and communications (including experience with graphic designers, advertising agencies, printers and other outside vendors). The ability to analyze, synthesize and utilize data is imperative, as is the ability to conduct qualitative/quantitative research. Effective interpersonal relationship skills; previous budget/project management skills; and strong copywriting skills are required. Knowledge of healthcare and/or dentistry is preferred, and previous association experience is a plus.
